Admissions Procedures for International Students
Applications from international students are considered on a rolling admissions basis, and should be completed by mid-February. Applications received after this date will be considered as space allows.

Important conditions for acceptance to The Willows Academy are:

  • The applicant must be in high academic standing and must have at least a basic familiarity with the English language. All classes are conducted in English.
  • The applicant should have a genuine desire to attend The Willows and to make a positive contribution to the school community.
  • The applicant's parents must be committed to working with The Willows in both the academic and character aspects of their daughter's education.
  • The materials listed below must be submitted to the Admissions Committee for review and a decision regarding admission.

Materials Necessary to Complete the Application Process

  • Application form and $100 fee
  • Student Questionnaire
  • School records from the current year and two preceding years
  • Academic Recommendation
  • Non-academic Recommendation

Housing
In keeping with the philosophy of the School, all of our international students are placed with Willows' families. Students and host families are matched by the Admissions Director as carefully as possible to assure a positive experience for both the student and the family. An international student is matched with a host family once she has been accepted, usually in the late Spring.

Enrollment and Immigration Forms
The Willows Academy will send out an Enrollment Contract and an I-20 Form to international students once they have been accepted and matched with a host family. No student will be enrolled prior to being assigned a host family. These enrollment documents ordinarily will be sent in May or June.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition for the 2008-2009 school year is:

Grades 6-8: $15,995

Grades 9-12: $16,995

Fees and textbooks are included in tuition. An Enrollment Fee of $1000.00 is due upon acceptance. The remaining balance may be paid either in full by the 25th of August; in two payments by the 25th of August and December; or in four payments by the 25th of August, November, February, and April. We regret that financial aid is not available for international students.

Room and Board
A student Room and Board Payment Contract will be sent to you for approval, once a host family has been assigned to your daughter. The payment for room and board is $6000.00 for approximately 10 months from the week prior to start of school in mid-August through the end of the school year in June. This amount is to be paid directly to the host family using one of the methods specified on the contract.
