Student Advising Program
The advising system is key in The Willows' approach to education. Every student has an advisor who meets regularly with her throughout the school year.

These periodic sessions help each girl discover her academic, personal and social strengths. They also foster - and follow through on - resolutions to improve in these areas. Often, the advisor's job is simply to listen, to understand and to encourage.

"We have an advising system here that gives each girl an opportunity to be with her advisor at least once or twice a month. They may talk about grades, personal growth, friendships, boyfriends, study habits, whatever. A bond is developed between the advisor and the student."

The advisor also serves as a key link between parents and the school. This structure ensures that even as it is the parents' responsibility to help each student mature properly, the school supports the effort through the advisor.

The Willows encourages its students to work hard, to respect one another and to cooperate with the faculty and administration. The Willows' discipline and dress guidelines encourage an atmosphere of high standards and personal diginity.
